Clandeblog The Clandeboye Lodge wedding team answer your top 10 questions
Planning your wedding can be a daunting task, but don't worry, the Clandeboye Lodge wedding team are here to help you every step of the way. We have put together a list of the most commonly asked questions, with answers from our wedding team, Ian, Gia, Lorraine and Kirsty.
1. Do you have a one wedding per day policy?

Of course we do! The wedding team understands that you want to make your wedding a day you will remember forever. That's why we ensure that you and your guests enjoy a one-wedding-per-day experience. This way, you can be sure that all the attention is on celebrating your big day!
Please note, there may be a lunch or dinner event in the events building, but these would be in a separate suite.
2. Do you have any last-minute wedding dates available?

We always have a few great dates available for those who can’t wait to tie the knot! Our specialist wedding team is always happy to look at options with you. Check out our Swept Away package which takes all the stress out of planning your wedding day.
3. How many bedrooms are there at Clandeboye Lodge and can the bride/groom stay the night before?

The Clandeboye Lodge has 42 rooms in the hotel. It is advised that your guests book this as soon as they can to avoid disappointment. And yes, the wedding party can stay the night before. Choose one of the family rooms for extra space to get ready! Or why not mark this special occasion by staying in our Ultra-luxe Suite?
4. Do you cater for large weddings?

Yes! Our stunning, spacious Clandeboye Suite is perfect if you have a large guest list. This adaptable suite comfortably accommodates receptions from 120 to 300+ guests. With its cool neutrals, elegant panelling and eclectic art collection it makes for an unforgettable wedding.
5. Can my dog attend the wedding ceremony?

Dogs are very welcome for the ceremony and the arrival drinks reception. We just ask that they get picked up before the meal is served.
6. Can I have an outdoor ceremony?

Yes, at Clandeboye Lodge the wedding team can cater for outdoor ceremonies in the gorgeous, landscaped gardens. However, a backup plan is required to be able to do the same numbers inside should the weather take a turn for the worse. Our Blackwood Suite can hold 150 guests, or we could look at the alternative of using one of our other suites, subject to availability.
7. Do you allow confetti or sparklers?

Yes, we allow confetti if it is biodegradable. We love sparklers, they look magical in photos! To ensure everyone's safety, we just ask that you provide a metal bucket with sand and a few pairs of gloves.
8. What can I add to the wedding suites? Can I add fairy lights to the ceiling and candles down the aisle?

You can certainly add fairy lights to the ceiling and candles down the aisle. There are a few health and safety issues to consider though. For example, the candles down the aisle will need to be fully enclosed and covered, such as in a lantern. Here are some other ideas to get you started: cherry blossoms, light up letters, personalised neon signs, flower arches, kid’s tepees, and take-home gift bags. Feel free to discuss any other ideas with our wedding team and make sure to keep an eye on our social media for inspo!
9. How long can we hold a wedding date for & how much is the deposit?

We can hold a date provisionally for 2 weeks. Within that time, we ask for a £750 deposit. Then 9 months prior to the wedding, a second deposit is required (50% of the package price).
10. Do you offer a wedding menu tasting?

Yes, we offer a wedding menu tasting. This is the perfect opportunity to sample our delicious food offerings and decide which ones you'd like to have on your big day. Our menu tasting is £50.00 per person, and we require a pre-order. During the tasting, you'll be able to try several different dishes and pick your favourites for your wedding menu.
